2/12/2013 Back to working on the bathroom. Got the sheet rock up on the walls and ceiling. Have a little sheet rock to put up in the closet. Next will be the concrete board on the shower walls and the floor then tiling.
2/22/2013 Now for taping all the joints
3/15/2013 Wall and ceiling is painted. Started the tiling.
4/3/2013 The bathroom floor tile is down. Just need to grout it tomorrow. The cabinets should be installed next Monday or Tuesday. The tiling took a long time because I had to start at the front and work to the back because the colored inset tile needed to be done first. So I had to do the floor in steps, waiting a day so I could walk on the tile just done. To do the bathroom I had to go in and out of the window.
4/4/2013 Well the grouting is all done. Now to the shower.
4/12/2013 Cabinets are in. They are coming back to put the shelf in that goes above the center drawers, at the bottom of the window. The lights, fan and toilet are in too.
Here is the antique teak cabinet we bought from a place in Beaufort, SC. They are coming to make a template for the granite top next Thursday. It's cutting it close in getting this place done by the time Dick and Margaret come on May 7th.
4/14/2013 Well the shower floor is mudded. Next this sealing sheet goes down then the floor tiles, then the walls.
4/30/2013 The race is on to get the shower finished before the guests get here. The floor is done.
5/6/2013 The granite counter tops got installed.
5/14/2013 I put in the back splash behind one sink.
5/28/2013 Well I finished just enough tile to make the shower usable. I put the heated towel rack up today. I love the temperature controller. Just set it at the temperature you like and it keeps it there.
7/17/2013 I finally got the backsplash behind my sink in. We had mirrors made at Michaels. Still need to finish tiling the shower. Put a frame around the cut glass window and got that hung.
10/26/2013 Well the shower tiling is finally done!!
