This is my new house on Yonges Island, which is about 20 minutes south of Charleston South Carolina.  It has four very flat acres with lots of different trees.

Click here to see the wildlife in the yard.  Check out the bugs!

Link to Lynns Picasa web album on the house.

There is an electric gate with a keypad entry.  The driveway is lined with palm trees.

Here is the front of the house with an open porch.

Below is a birds-eye view of the house.  The dock is just above where it says 40 yds.

The following two pictures are from the Charleston County GIS web site showing the lot and location of buildings.

I've highlighted in blue the water leading from the house dock to the main water.

Here is how to get from the house to downtown Charleston by boat.  It's about 20 miles.  The house is shown in red at the lower left corner.  There is a think yellow line showing the route.

Here is a panoramic picture, stitching three pictures together, of the front yard.

Looking from the front porch down the driveway.

There is a fence around the property.  This is from the fence at the street.

This is from the boat dock of the back of the house.  There is a screened porch on the left side that has access from the master bedroom and the living room, and an open porch on the right.

Here is a view from the back porch.  The water is tidal.  At high tide the power boat could be put in.  It is just a minute or two to the main channel.  You can see it far off in the picture.  You can kayak at low tide.  But the road in the front of the house is private and maintained by the family at the end who owns the island to the left in the picture.  The guy next door says they are very nice and let him use their launch and dock on the main water.

Here is the dock at high tide.  You can see the owners new house.  You have to go under the bridge to the right of the gazebo to get to the main water.  There is a boat launch just to the right of where I'm standing.  The pole was originally a telephone pole that ran along the railroad here.  The walkway to the dock was originally a railroad bed.

This is the front porch.

These are the stairs to the second floor at the front entrance.  There is a half bath to the right.

This is the living room.  There is a fireplace on the right and sliders to the screened porch on the right and the open porch on the left.

This is from the living room looking back towards the front of the house. There is a bedroom to the right and left above.  Each has it's own full bath.  The door to the left of the stairs goes downstairs.

Here are the built-in cabinets in the living room.  The door to the right of them goes to the master bedroom.

Here are a couple pictures of the kitchen.

View of the front yard from upstairs.  There are two bedrooms upstairs each with their own full bath.

This is the three car garage.  It needs a new roof and other non-structural work.  I'll probably raise the roof a couple feet so I can install a car lift.  Lots of old Live Oak trees with Spanish Moss on them.

Below you can see part of the basement,  On the left is a slider to an outside patio at ground level.  There are no real basements in the south.  There are two rooms behind the wall on the right and another on the right at the end.  You can see the fireplace in the middle.
